Why we prefer zones to pencil lines

Exact prices feel precise; zones survive the noise of real candles.

Support and resistance form around areas where orders clustered, not a single tick. Drawing a thin line often forces false precision.

In class we shade a band from the body extreme to the wick extreme of the reaction candles that built the level.

If later price slices the band without reaction, we fade or remove it rather than defending the original line.
